Symptoms

Note: This document pertains to ALL CUSTOMERS, regardless of whether Joint Venture Management (JVM – System 09J) is implemented or not.

UN8 includes a new enhancement, Bug 32171256, to display field “Joint Venture Parent Business Unit” in the Business Unit Master (P0006) and the Job Cost Master (P51006) programs.

This new functionality was also delivered via ESU JN20646 for Bug 32171256: ENHANCEMENT DISPLAY JVM BU IN P0006 W0006B/P51006 W51006S/ W51006R.

After applying UN8 or JN20646, some clients have experienced issues with applications Business Unit Master (P0006) and Job Cost Master (P51006) not displaying any data.

The issue only affects clients who do NOT use the Joint Venture Management (JVM) solution AND who use Inclusive Business Unit Row Security:

Steps to Duplicate:

  1. UN8 or ESU JN20646 has been installed.
  2. The Joint Venture Management (System 09J) solution is not activated.
  3. Row Security is set as INCLUSIVE for Business Unit (MCU) from Value “BLANK” through Value “ZZZZZZZZ”.
  4. Open applications Business Unit Master (P0006) or Job Cost Master (P51006) and click find.  No records are retrieved.

Note: Records are only displayed if the Business Unit exists in the Joint Venture Management module, or Inclusive Row Security is not used.

Changes

UN8 or ESU JN20646 has been installed.
