E1: 31A: Variance Accounting (R31804) Rounds IV Entries to the Nearest Whole Number After Migrating to Tools Release 9.2.8.1 (Doc ID 3015718.1)

Last updated on APRIL 16, 2024

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Shop Floor Control - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After upgrading to Tools Release 9.2.8.1, when running Variance Accounting (R31804), the system will round values to the closest whole number (e.g., IV entries are 9.00 rather than 9.12). This causes incorrect IV entries that must be manually updated.

Steps:
1. Create a manufacturing Work Order (P48013).
2. Attach Parts List/Routing (R31410).
3. Report shop floor entries (IM, IH and IC) that are different than standard.
4. Run Manufacturing Accounting (R31802A). Notice that values are reported with decimal values.
5. Run Variance Accounting (R31804). Notice that all values for IV entries are rounded to the nearest whole number.

Note that the issue occurs in PD only. In QA or PY, the rounding does not occur.

Changes

The issue started after upgrading to Tool Release 9.2.8.1.
