Symptoms
After a configured Sales Order is created (P4210) and Order Processing (R31410) is run over the related Work Order, costs on P Rule Components are often changed. When Order Processing is re-run over the Work Order, the system does not update the Sales Order detail cost.
Steps:
- Create a Sales Order (P4210) for a configured item.
- Run Order Processing (R31410) over the Work Order.
- Review Production Cost Inquiry (P31022) for the Work Order.
- Enter any shop floor transaction such as Work Order Issue (P31113) or Hours & Quantities (P311221).
- For some of the purchased P Rule components, change costs (P4105), simulate (R30812) and freeze (F30835).
- Run the R31410 over the Work Order.
- Review Production Costs (P31022); notice that the system has not updated costs to reflect the new component costs.
