Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After a configured Sales Order is created (P4210) and Order Processing (R31410) is run over the related Work Order, costs on P Rule Components are often changed. When Order Processing is re-run over the Work Order, the system does not update the Sales Order detail cost.

Steps:

  1. Create a Sales Order (P4210) for a configured item.
  2. Run Order Processing (R31410) over the Work Order.
  3. Review Production Cost Inquiry (P31022) for the Work Order.
  4. Enter any shop floor transaction such as Work Order Issue (P31113) or Hours & Quantities (P311221).
  5. For some of the purchased P Rule components, change costs (P4105), simulate (R30812) and freeze (F30835).
  6. Run the R31410 over the Work Order.
  7. Review Production Costs (P31022); notice that the system has not updated costs to reflect the new component costs.
