In tools release 9.2.8.2, you can now embed a Media Object Viewer content in a CafeOne layout. This new feature is mentioned in the Composite Application Framework (CafeOne) User's Guide, Chapter 8 Creating A CafeOne Layout for the Media Object Viewer (Tools Release 9.2.8.2).

A CafeOne layout with an embedded Media Object Viewer content for the GT4311 data structure fails to display properly. Nothing is displayed in the the Media Object Viewer content. The embedded content is blank.

The following diagram shows the CafeOne layout design on the Contract Inquiry - Work With Contract Detail parent form (P4310|W4310G) with Data Structure GT4311:


 

Steps to duplicate this issue:

1. Navigate to the form W4310G to create a Media Object Viewer layout.
   
   
2. Locate an existing media object attachment in the grid. If there isn't one, you can create one.
   
   
3. From the user ID drop-down on the menu bar, select Edit Form Layout.
   
   
4. In the Name field, select Create to create a new layout.
   
   
5. Click the Create New Content icon. A window with the types of content you can create appears.
   
   
6. Click the Attachments option, an empty frame appears.
   
   
   
   
7. Drag and drop the empty frame into the workspace. You can position the empty frame horizontally or vertically on the framework workspace. After you drop the empty frame in the workspace, the frame is named Create link to Attachment Viewer.
   
   
8. Enter the following under Link Information:
   
   Data Structure:  GT4311
   
   
9. Select Dynamic Link option under What type of link:
   
   
10. Set the Dynamic Link Parameters as follows:
    
    Document (Order No, Invoice, etc.) is mapped to DOCO(Order Number)
    Order Type is mapped to DCTO(Or Ty)
    Order Company(Order Number) is mapped to KCOO(Order Co)
    Order Suffix is mapped to SFXO(Change Order)
    Line Number is mapped to LNID(Line Number)
    
    
11. Click the Save icon to save the content.
    
    
12. Click the Save icon beside the Name (Create) on the menu bar.
    
    
13. In Enter New Name, enter the CafeOne layout name and click OK.
    
    
14. Running the CafeOne layout, when user highlight on a grid row which an existing attachment, the embedded content is blank.
