E1: 07: Bug 33364083 Removed The Ability To Manually Override Pre-Note Code To N (Off) & Transaction Code To 22 (Off) Within Auto Deposit Instructions (P055011, R055011) At First Access (Doc ID 3024703.1)

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne US Payroll - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Pre-note transactions are entered for employees who want all or part of each payment deposited directly in a bank account. When you enter automatic deposit instructions, the system creates a prenote record that is sent to the bank for verification. The prenote information can be created during the first payroll cycle in which the employee is processed after the automatic deposit instructions are entered into the system, or you can create prenote transactions outside of the payroll cycle.  Bug 33364083 took away the ability for customers to be able to manually override Pre-Note processing within Auto Deposit Instructions (P055011) on first access.

The negative impact the bug caused was that once applied, new employees were not defaulting to N but rather P, and a live check was created in the system only, not an actual check was created and mailed, The Final Update was done and they are unable to go back and re-create the payment file or change it to Direct Deposit.

This bug should be reversed and a processing option added to give all customers a choice to either require pre-note transactions or manually override and turn off pre-note processing.

Steps To Duplicate:

1. Fast path to P0801, inquire on a US Employee,
2. Select the EE and click Row Exit to go to Auto Deposit Instructions (P055011)
3. Update the Pre-Note code field (ADPN) to N (Off) update the Transaction Code (TCOD) to 22 and add the remaining details such as Bank/Gateway Transit No, Account number etc.
4. Tab to the next line and notice the Pre-Note code and transaction code switch back to P and 23.
5. The user is forced to save, go back in, and change it to save it.
