Symptoms
Users cannot delete objects such as batch versions in the Object Management Workbench (P98220 / P98220W) application. When attempting to delete an object, the following error is observed :
General Error in method Delete
CAUSE . . . . A General Error occurred while attempting to call the
Delete method.
RESOLUTION. . Inspect the Object Management Workbench Logging System for this object to see if any errors were reported. Also,inspect the jde.log and/or jdedebug.log files for more information regarding this error
JDE.log will show below error messages:

Jdedebug.log will show an additional message
This issue may be replicated using the below steps:
- Login to JDE on a Fat Client /Windows Development Client Machine.
- Type BV in fast path to open P98305- Work with Batch versions application.
- Find Report R0006P and Click Add to Add a new version (Give any name such as TSTVERSION).
- Type OMW in fast path to open P98220 -Object Management Workbench.
- Goto Default project and find the TSTVERSION, highlight it and click Delete Button.
- Select the Check Box to "Remove object from ALL Locations" and press OK.
- Notice the Error "General Error in method Delete".
