E1: MOBJ: Text Content is Disappearing in Embedded Media Object Control for Language Users (Doc ID 3032791.1)

Symptoms

For language users, when trying to view the text content in the embedded media object control, text is displayed for a fraction of a second and then disappears.
It is the same issue for different language users like G (German), F (French) etc. but it works as expected for blank/domestic language users. Also, this issue happens in multiple applications, both custom as well as standard.

German language user

Steps to replicate:

1. Login to the web client as a blank/domestic language user (P0092: Language)
2. Access P54HS00 from fastpath and click Find button
3. Click on any Incident Number in the grid
4. In Edit Incident from, go to Details-->Investigation
5. Add some text for all four tabs (Detailed Description, Direct Causes, Root Causes and Preventive Measures)
6. Click on Save and Close
7. Revisit the same Incident Number by clicking on it
8. The added text appear in all the tabs as expected
9. Using P0092, update user language to G - German
10. Logout and relogin
11. Access P54HS00 from fastpath and click Find button
12. Click on the same Incident Number for which the text was added in the above steps
13. In Edit Incident from, go to Details-->Investigation
14. Click on Direct Causes tab - text is displayed for a fraction of a second and then disappears
