E1: 46L: Refresh Inventory Commitments (R42990) Incorrectly Updates Inventory Commitments (F41021) if a 2-Phase Replenishment Suggestion is Created for a License Plate Item (Doc ID 3034724.1)

Last updated on JULY 15, 2024

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When running the Refresh Inventory Commitments (R42990) over a license plate item using a 2-phase replenishment suggestion, the program is incorrectly creating commitments for the staging location. This happens if the picking (from) location has been hard committed, but no commitments should exist for the staging location (the suggestion is still in phase 1).

STEPS

1. Setup a new item using the P4101 and P41026 in a License Plate branch.
2. In the P46011, setup the item to use 2-phase picking for replenishment.
3. Define replenishment instructions using the P46095.
4. Define a Location Profile (P46020) for the from location with a staging location defined for replenishment.
5. Add inventory (P4114) to the location and generate a License Plate for the item.
6. Go the Manual Replenishment (P46100) and create a new replenishment request from the location created above (selecting the License Plate) and input a valid to location.
7. Go into the P4600 and find the request. Select the request to generate the suggestion.
8. Review the on hand quantity in the P41202. The quantity entered for the replenishment is hard committed to the picking (from) location only.
9. Run the R42990 with all processing options blank and data selecting only on the item used on the replenishment.
10. Review the data in the P41202. A hard commitment is now created for the staging location. When the phase 1 suggestion is confirmed by the P4617, this again updates the staging location with a hard commitment. The commitment issue will not correct itself after all suggestions are confirmed.
