E1: JAS: Continuous Serialization of F989998 and F989999, and Manifest Deletion in JAS and BSSV Instances After Tools Release Upgrade to Web Pack 9.2.8.3 (Doc ID 3035442.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 27, 2024

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After upgrading to tools release (TR ) 9.2.8.3, JAS and BSSV instances repeatedly serialize every five minutes, resulting in the deletion of manifests and all records within tables F989998 and F989999.

This issue arises from a conflict between the BSSV instance on TR 9.2.8.2 and the JAS instance on TR 9.2.8.3, particularly affecting environments where web pack 9.2.8.3 are applied.

Importantly, this problem did not occur when all instance were on TR 9.2.8.2 .

Steps To Replicate:

  1. Upgrade the JAS Instance to TR 9.2.8.3 while keeping the BSSV Instance on TR 9.2.8.2.
  2. Ensure that a web pack is applied correctly
  3. Observe the JAS Instance serialize every five minutes leading to performance degradation of JAS Instance.
