Symptoms

401k catchup is not being pre-taxed correctly for a Puerto Rico Employee

The Puerto Rico (tax area 72) employee has reached the maximum annual limit of $23,000 for 401K and Roth withheld combined. Also, 401k catchup 50+ and Roth catchup 50+ have not reached the combined maximum. The 401k catchup 50+ is not being pre-taxed correctly.

Steps to Duplicate

  1. Enter an Interim Payment for Puerto Rico Employee that has reached the maximum annual limit of $23,000 for for the combined YTD amount for 401K and Roth 



  2. In Work With Pay Stub Detail screen, the 401K catchup 50+ shows an amount of 76.92.



  3. In Work With Tax Detail screen, the Excludable Amount for Tax Area 72 State Income Tax shows an amount value of 38.52 instead of 76.92.



  4. In the Before and After Report, it shows Amt Alwd for 401K CU2 Over is 38.52.
