E1: 46: R46171 (Process Putaway Requests) Ignoring the Maximum Quantity Defined in the P46024 (Location Capacity Definition) When Creating Putaway Suggestions (Doc ID 3036896.1)

Last updated on JULY 25, 2024

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Warehouse Management - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When running the Process Putaway Requests (R46171) and inventory resides in a putaway location, the R46171 is not looking at the maximum capacity defined in the F46024. This causes the warehouse to go to a location where there is not enough space available to putaway the items.

STEPS

1. Setup an item in a warehouse enabled branch.
2. Set the maximum capacity in the F46024 for the location dimension group to be 8 EA.
3. Add a new purchase order for a quantity of 4 EA. Receive the order into warehousing and confirm the putaway request. The current quantity is 4 EA in this location.
4. Add a 2nd purchase order for a quantity of 6 EA. Receive the order and create the putaway request.
5. Run the R46171. The same location that contains the quantity of 4 EA is used, but the maximum capacity is 8 EA.
