Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The G/L Transaction Generation (R15199) does not populate the subledger with the asset number for leases for non-property assets even if the R15199 Processing option is set to populate the subledger.

Steps:

  1. In RE System Constants (P1510) for a company check “Populate Subledger”.
  2. Enter one Lessee Lease and select one Asset Number.
  3. In Recurring Billing (P1502) enter recurring billing information for the Lease. Select Bill Type = ‘A’- Accrual Entry.
  4. In Amortization Schedules (P15171) change Lease Status to 10 and then Generate Amortization Schedules and Commencement JE. Notice the Commencement JE is generated with Subledger Type = ‘E’, the Subledger equal with the Asset Number and also with Asset Number populated.
  5. Run Recurring Billing Generation (R15100) for the Lease set to call Billing Edit Register (R15300). A Recurring Billing Voucher batch will be created.
  6. Make sure the G/L Transaction Generation (R15199) version ZJDE0002 (Post Real Estate Vouchers) has Processing Option -> Process\Update Subledger = 3 (Unit/Asset).
  7. In Recurring Billing Journal Review (P150011) select the batch just created and take Row Exit Post A/P Batch and notice the Subledger and Subledger Type were not populated, just the Asset was populated.
