E1: PKG: Update Package on Development Client Not Clearing the User Specs (F98999*) For Updated Objects
(Doc ID 3040019.1)
Last updated on AUGUST 12, 2024
Applies to:
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.2 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
In a development client when working on local web, changes done to any JDE interactive application wont be visible even after an update package was build and deploy.
Steps to reproduce:
- Run an application on local web from development client. Note there should be no user specification (F98*US) as user never did any modifications on the object. Serialized specifications (F98999*) will get properly generated from current package specifications (F98*PKGNAME)
- Modify the interactive application then build and deploy an update package to both server and development client.
- Run the application again on local web from development client and notice the changes done are not reflected. Observe that serialized specifications (F98999*) are not updated, therefore code that is running is the one before application modification/change, proving that update package did not cleared the user specs.
