Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Upon receiving a Purchase Order (PO) via receipt routing (P43250) with Supplier Lot Number (RLOT) column populated and Lot Number (LOTN) as Blank, the RLOT column value is not successfully captured in the Item Ledger (F4111) table.

Scenario 1: PO is received without Receipt Routing and by P4312 application, RLOT value is captured in F4111 even though LOTN is BLANK.

Scenario 2: PO is received with Receipt Routing P43250, RLOT value is captured in F4111, if LOTN is also populated.

Scenario 3: PO is received with Receipt Routing P43250, RLOT value is not captured in F4111, if LOTN is BLANK.

NOTE: RLOT value should get captured in F4111 table when received using Receipt Routing (P43250) in the same way that it does the receipt was made by P4312.

STEPS:

  1. Setup Receipt routing definition using application P43091.
  2. Create Supplier/Item relationship for an Item and Supplier and update the Route Code to the route code you have created.
  3. Create a Purchase Order for the same Item, Supplier and Branch Plant using application P4310.
  4. Now receive this PO partially once without receipt routing, Lot Number(LOTN) BLANK and Supplier Lot Number (RLOT) populated.
  5. Receive this PO twice but this time with receipt routing.
  6. While moving the inventory to stock using application P43250 for the one of the receipts created in step 5, keep Lot Number (LOTN) BLANK and Supplier Lot Number (RLOT) populated.
  7. While moving the inventory to stock using application P43250 for the 2nd receipt created in step 5, keep Lot Number (LOTN) populated and Supplier Lot Number (RLOT) populated.
  8. Go to P4111 Item Ledger application and check the receipt record.
  9. Below is what can be noticed in P4111.
    1. RLOT is populated if receipt was created without Receipt Routing.
    2. RLOT is BLANK if receipt was created with Receipt Routing and Lot Number (LOTN) BLANK.
    3. RLOT is populated if receipt was created with Receipt Routing and Lot Number (LOTN) was populated.
