Symptoms
When having 2 records for the same tax rate/area in the F4008 Tax Areas table, with different Expiration Dates (one expired and one valid), the system incorrectly fetches, in P03013 Customer Master application, the Tax Area Description value from the expired record.
Steps:
1. In P4008 Tax Rate/Area application, create 2 different records having the same tax rate/area value, but different Tax Area Description values, records that are being stored in the F4008 Tax Areas table, as follows:
- one record as already expired (ceases to be in effect, due to Expiration Date being before the current date).
- the other one as valid (effective), to be used for the current transactions involving that tax rate/area value.
2. In P03013 Customer Master application, assign the valid tax rate/area to a customer record.
3. See that the value fetched for the Tax Area Description is the one from the expired record.
