Announcing JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Release 25 October 16, 2024 What are we announcing? Release 25 is a Digital ERP release delivering innovation that automates, optimizes, and transforms business processes and represents Oracle’s continued investment that furthers your digital transformation. Learn more about how JD Edwards Release 25 enables automation, optimization, and transformation at LearnJDE.Com. Note: Release 25 innovation for Tools is delivered with Tools 9.2.9, which supports Applications 9.2 and is only available for 64-bit Tools Foundation.
Details on all innovation delivered with Release 25: Digital TransformationEnterprise Process ModelerThe Enterprise Process Modeler provides a graphical tool for designing processes and the interrelationships among processes, defining metrics about those processes, and visualizing a real-time view of how those processes are running. As a foundational piece of the Enterprise Automation framework, the Enterprise Process Modeler enables you to define, monitor, and measure the processes that are essential to your operations.
This feature enhances Orchestrator Studio by enabling you to choose available system data, such as environment, user ID, and orchestration name, to include in the orchestration output.
This feature enhances the EnterpriseOne extensibility framework with the ability to launch orchestrations, notifications, and logic extensions from form and row exits, which you can add as form extensions.
List of Criteria Variables into Orchestration Rules This feature enhances the Orchestrator Rule step to be able to accept lists of criteria values as variables.
Text and Images on EnterpriseOne Pages This feature enhances EnterpriseOne pages with tile types for adding text and images. In addition to the active tiles that launch applications, reports, and orchestrations, Text and Image tiles can present text and images to augment the page as a whole.
Enhanced Data Access Driver for Multiple Environments Customers can use the enhanced Data Access Driver to connect to multiple environments and create a single data model for collating and analyzing data. System AutomationServer Manager - Performance Workbench This feature enables Performance Workbench functionality within the Server Manager interface. Performance Workbench assists administrators in parsing and narrowing down log file contents to categorize information in an easy interpretative format. Instead of downloading log files to a Windows workstation, Performance Workbench can now be triggered to summarize log files directly through the Server Manager Console, no matter what platform the managed log files come from.
This feature facilitates access and segregates functionality for a new developer user group in Server Manager. EnterpriseOne developers can seamlessly access log files on a centralized web server. They can also control the logging levels captured in the log files. In addition, administrators have the ability to define the management of EnterpriseOne, and the functionality users may access. Administrators can define existing EnterpriseOne users as Server Manager users. Finally, new Server Manager APIs are available for the Development Client to retrieve user logs and enable/disable logging levels in a single interface (rather than through INI files) and for administrators to manage Server Manager users.
This project reduces and simplifies the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Development Client by removing the local web server (WebLogic or WebSphere), relocating the runtime application processing to a centralized Development Web Server. With the removal of the local web server, the resource and setup requirements are significantly reduced, and the administration overhead is simplified.
Customers and partners can use the capabilities of Configuration Assistant to create custom multi-platform packages that contain a combination of OMW projects, specification-based objects, user defined objects (UDOs) and data sets. They also have the ability to apply those packages through the JD Edwards Update Manager/Web Software Updates application and Change Assistant with or without a Deployment Server.
A multi-platform deliverable is available to customers, that performs the necessary updates to critical objects that update the EnterpriseOne system. This multi-platform deliverable can be applied through the EnterpriseOne web client interface and no longer requires a Windows Deployment Server.
Building on the JD Edwards Update Manager capabilities to provide alternative methods for administrators to apply and maintain patches into the EnterpriseOne system, this feature enables quick reset of the merges included as part of an update. The reset enables administrators to rerun the merges in the use case of data refresh in the target environment as needed.
This enhancement provides administrators an option to reduce the amount of business functions that are built as part of a full server and/or client package. With this option, the system identifies which business functions have changed between the new full package and the current active full package being used at runtime. Only the identified delta object list will be built, thereby significantly reducing the total time of full package builds.
Package Build now includes the defined description in the physical library name text on the iSeries platform and makes the library more distinguishable as a package library.
This feature utilizes the package build output PDF report to provide the JDENET port number used for each server on which the package build is run. This feature eliminates administrative time required to correlate the package with the port number it was built over.
Oracle now provides an example for automating object life-cycle deployment. This feature enables administrators to run the package deployment process and application through the JD Edwards Orchestrations. Additionally, this feature provides a sample automatic deployment orchestration that administrators can use or alter to their requirements.
The Package Assembly application is now enhanced when defining an update package, once the path code is provided, the current “active” package for the pathcode will be automatically populated as the parent package for which to base the updated object specifications into. The field can still be altered by the administrator, but this saves time and reduces potential error when defining an update package.
The management of User Defined Objects (UDO) is altered to enable users to rename and change system/product code at any point for any UDO.
Customers can now view media objects on the media object viewer without the need of running any UBE for transferring media objects from file system to database. SecurityAllowed Domains and Attributes for Content Security Policy This feature provides a mechanism for explicitly specifying trusted domains and attributes of domains to ensure that content from sources outside of EnterpriseOne, such as JET applications, can be safely integrated into the EnterpriseOne user experience without exposing risk from untrusted domains. For more information, see the Security Administration Guide.
PlatformsSupport for Centralized Configuration in One-Click JD Edwards One-Click Provisioning is now enhanced to support Centralized configuration capabilities. Customers can now directly use the capabilities of centralized configuration on their One-Click provisioned environments.
JD Edwards One-Click Provisioning is now enhanced to support centralized web server for Development Client. Customers can now directly use the capabilities of centralized web server for Development Client on their One-Click provisioned environments. Product Catalog

ApplicationsProcurementEnterprise Automation: Procure to Pay Integrated with Warehouse (EnterpriseOne Page)Enterprise Automation - Procure to Pay with Warehouse processing help customers to improve procure to pay operations through integrated automation and data it generates. This enhancement provides visibility to warehouse putaway process integrated with the procure to pay process to help customers maximize efficiency and maintain accurate inventory. Three critical KPIs - Putaway cycle time, putaway accuracy and location utilization are provided as new charts.
The Procure to Pay Process Model template is a component that is delivered as part of the Process Modeler tool. This template is used with the Process Modeler tool to enable you to generate a procure to pay process flow based on your organization's order activity rules and real-time data. The generated process flow provides guidance for controlling and coordinating the flow and sequence of tasks that help to efficiently achieve overall objectives and goals. This template is designed to enable visibility to purchase orders at key stages of the procure to pay process, enabling you to make better use of data to help reveal trouble spots that adversely impact your objectives and KPIs.
Voucher Match automation is enhanced to automatically match purchase orders that do not require receipts to invoices in two-way matching. This increases the matching percentage and resulting automation through voucher match automation. This feature reduces labor cost by reducing the number of exceptions that must be managed manually. It also improves supplier relationship.
