E1: 40G: Zombie Kernel and Application Failure in Contract Edit (P43C01) on Linux Platform (Doc ID 3062246.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 05, 2024

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Grower Management - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Executing Grower Contract operations in P43C00 and P43C01 ends in an Application Failure / Transaction Failed error, and creates zombie kernels (on CommitContractHeader), when run on Linux. The issue started after a Tools upgrade to 9.2.7.5. The issue does not occur in Windows.

STEPS TO DUPLICATE:

  1. In a Linux environment, launch the P43C00 and search for an existing Contract.
  2. Select this Contract and take the button to Edit Contract.
  3. Access the Payment Schedule tab. Make a change to a field, for example the Payment Terms.
  4. Take the Save and Close button – the system throws the Select Application Failure form, followed by the Transaction Failed error, and a Web Client Exception.
