Purpose

During pick confirmation, the system allows overpicking and variance. When overpicking, the user confirms a quantity that is greater than the original quantity in the order. The system moves the excess quantity to the holding location defined in the item profile.

On the other hand, when doing variance, the user confirms less quantity than the original request. The system moves the difference of quantity to the variance location defined in the item profile
