Purpose

This supplements existing documentation, Chapter 2.5 Setting Up AAIs by Cost Component in the 9.1 Advanced Cost Accounting Implementation Guide, and Chapter 7.2. Working with Detail Costing in Distribution 9.1 Inventory Managment Guide.

Overview

Detail Product Costing is part of Advanced Cost Account (ACA) functionality.  It identifies the costs driving changes in inventory values.  The Product Cost Detail flag, located in the Branch/Plant Constants (P41001), activates Detail Product Costing.  If it is checked, Distribution applications will use the Frozen Standard cost in the Item Cost Component Add On (F30026) file for the items. 

Scope

Distribution supports this functionality, setup and execution.
