Purpose

This document is designed to explain the Configuration Management process; from Item Master to posting in Accounts Receivable.

Please note that this document is written for EnterpriseOne releases up to and including ERP8.0.

The Configurator module has been greatly enhanced in EnterpriseOne 8.9.

This document is only valid for Xe and ERP8.0.  This document is designed to describe the Configuration Management process; from Item Master to posting in Accounts Receivable.  Please note that this document is written for all EnterpriseOne releases up to ERP8.0.  The Configurator module has been greatly enhanced in EnterpriseOne 8.9.

 What makes up a configured item?
 Configured Item Segments (P3291) - Segments are features, options and characteristics that make up a configured item.  The minimum requirement is one defined segment.
 Cross Segment Editing Rules (P3292) - Cross Segment Editing Rules or CSERs establish relationships between the segments with logic statements.  Example: If Segment 10 (Engine) = Twin Turbo then Segment 20 (Transmission) must be equal to Manual.  In the example below, if Segment 10 equals YES, then Segment 25 cannot equal WHT.
