Purpose

Overview

The Standard Cost Update, R30835, is also referred to as Cost Rollup, Frozen Update, Frozen Standard Update, Frozen Update/WIP Revaluation, Standard Item Cost Ledger Update, Current Item Cost Ledger Update, Item Cost Component - Frozen Update, etc. Cost Rollup is used as a method of "freezing" item costs, or creating or updating Cost Method 07, to be used with our Manufacturing Accounting programs.  This program is used only after Cost Simulation, R30812, has been run and costs reviewed (using Enter/Change Cost Components G3014/P30026).

This document will detail the processing options for the R30835, Frozen Cost Update and cover fundamentals.

R30835 should only be submitted into a single-threaded job queue, as per KM Doc E1: UBE: List of UBEs that Must Be Run through a Single Threaded Job Queue in EnterpriseOne (Doc ID 1301768.1).  Running otherwise would create deadlocks, and result in zero costs or incorrect costing.

This supplements existing documentation, Chapter 7.1 Simulated Cost Rollup in the 9.2 Product Costing and Manufacturing Accounting Implementation Guide, and by release:  E1: 30A: Prod Cost & Mfg Acctg Implementation Guides Document 1109538.1

Scope
