E1: 30: P3003 Setup and Use of Master Routings in Manufacturing (Doc ID 626108.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 02, 2019

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Product Data Management - Version XE and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Purpose

A Master Routing is a "common" routing that can be linked to multiple items, removing the necessity to create the same routing for every manufactured item that goes through the same process.  Master routings are not supported with configured items (Stocking Type C).

As of 8.9 forward, based on Enhancement Bug 10961265 (BRANCH SPECIFIC MASTER ROUTING), Master Routings are now branch plant specific.

The purpose of a master routing is to reduce the routing (P3003) maintenance on many items. This document details the required setup of a master routing.

Scope

Production engineers, planners and shop floor users.
