Goal

Windows 2000- 2003-2008 Terminal Service Removal - Windows Terminal Services Affects Package Builds - On Windows 2000 and later deployment servers or build machines, WTS services affects the package build process.

If you are utilizing the Windows 2000, 2003 or 2008 operating system for the deployment server or build machine for any EnterpriseOne release then the windows terminal services will need to be removed or you will need to modify the jde.ini file in order for the functionality of a package build to operate correctly.
The minimum tech requirements (MTR) information (see references below) indicates this requirement as well and this document will provide the steps for removing these services.

The error received on the build machine is the following message:

You may not execute any of the OneWorld Development Tools on this Windows Terminal Server. Please do not attempt this action again.

Please be aware that disabling the services through the Services application will not resolve the issue; the services and components for the terminal service need to be entirely removed.
