Information in this document applies to any platform.

Purpose

CSV files are used to output tabular data. In addition to viewing the report in a CSV file, you can manipulate the report data after the report finishes processing. To view report data in a spreadsheet program, such as Microsoft Excel or Lotus 123, "Export to a CSV" option is available for JDE Reports. This requires some reformatting within Report Design Aid.

This document provides the steps to format a report within Report Design Aid (RDA) for Export to CSV. It includes tips for exporting to CSV, how to setup a report for one-time execution, setting up a report to always export to CSV, web, output and international considerations.

Scope

This document is intended for the Report Developer who will be formatting reports for Export to CSV and the System Administrator who will be maintaining and troubleshooting reports defined to Export to CSV.
