E1: KER: Call Object Kernel Fails to Run BSFNs on AS/400 with Error 'HDL0000007 - No handle found for getHandle' (Doc ID 642806.1)

Symptoms

During normal operations users start to encounter errors running business functions on the AS/400 Enterprise Server.  SAW (Server Administration Workbench/Server Manager reports that one Call Object kernel has more than 100 user sessions associated.  When this happens, all business functions fail to run on the Enterprise Server.

The only workaround when encountering this problem is to restart EnterpriseOne services.  After bouncing services, it works for some time and then the issue reoccurs.

Deleting SQL packages and deleting the dddict/ddtext/glbltbl spec files does not help.

The server JDE.LOG shows the following messages:
