Symptoms

Scenario 1 Unable to validate the supplied credentials

After recently upgrading to Tools Release 8.97, customer tries to add an EnterpriseOne user through the management console in Server Manager. Customer also tries to add the user to the console_user and console_admin groups.

When customer attempts to login to Server Manager using this user, it gives an error:

 Scenario 4  The user smuser1 is not known to the management console
Cause
 Scenario 1 Primary server and Outgoing Port defined incorrectly
 Scenario 2 User not part of Console_User group
 Scenario 3 Security Server is on Previous release
 Scenario 4 Corrupted SM user
Solution
 Scenario 1 Ensure Primary Security Server and outgoing JDENET port defined correctly
 Scenario 2 User must be part of console_users group
 Scenario 3 Security Server must be on same release as Management Console
 Scenario 4 Delete and recreate the user
