E1: KER: Outstanding Requests for Metadata Kernel (Doc ID 660396.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 06, 2024

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 8.98 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

When turning on monitoring in Server Manager Console, there are sporadic outstanding requests for the Metadata Kernel. Also noted are varying response times for form loading on the JAS/WEB server; even if the form is already generated and loaded into cache and the SpecExpire=0 parameter is set in the JAS.INI:

[CACHE]
SpecExpire=0

NOTE:
SpecExpire - This is used by the EnterpriseOne connectors to set expiration period for cached items. The default value is 0.

Are there any recommendations on Max Number of Processes for the Metadata kernel; for example: for 50, 100, 150 users? In this case here, EnterpriseOne 8.12 is running with Tools Release 8.97 on a LINUX RedHat 4.6 server with Oracle 10g.
