Goal
Customer is experiencing slow performance for the Media Object conversion during their upgrade and is asking for suggestions to decrease the amount of time it requires to convert.
Customer is doing their DV upgrade from Enterprise Xe SP23_X1 to EnterpriseOne 9.0 application release level currently on Tools Release 8.98 base on a Windows/SQL platform. The Media Objects conversion (R8900165) took 12 hours to run and had several errors. The errors were "Invalid Shortcut Data", "Secondary RTF File Fails to open", "Fail to open OLE storage file - [OLEQUE]".
Customer is using a brand new high powered HP Server with dual quad core processors and 16 GB RAM with Windows 2003 Server as the OS. Debug logging was NOT turned on during this time. There are 26,697 text objects within their old XE folder \b7333\MEDIAOBJ\Text. Why did it take so long to run and how can the amount of time to process be decreased?
