WS: JDESEC: A9.3/A9.4 Security Setup (Doc ID 1460223.1)

Purpose

Changes in the way security is handled in A9.3/A9.4 necessitates security setup changes. JD Edwards World A9.3 is delivered in a “locked down” state, meaning that the default for all major security types is “NO ACCESS”.   A9.4 software is delivered in a "locked down" state as well, along with object authority set to *PUBLIC *EXCLUDE for the DEFAULT object types listed in the JDEORACLE library that is delivered in the OUI. When any of the object types listed in JDEORACLE get created in the libraries noted in the A9.4 Upgrade Plan, it will look at the Object authority that is set for DEFAULT in the JDEORACLE library. 

This document provides details and examples on the required security setup. In addition, see the A9.4 Upgrade Guide Phase 2, for more information.
