Purpose

This document describes the errors and issues you might encounter when adding, revising or deleting Asset Master records (F1201) using the Master Information program (P1201), locating records using Asset Search & Location (P1204), and reviewing information using Depreciation Information and Depr & Accounting Values (P1202).

Note: The Master Information and Equipment Master programs are the same; they just appear on different menus.

Error Messages Returned on Master Information (P1201)

Error 0168: Fiscal Year Not Set Up

Error 0631: Delete Invalid

Error 502M or Warning 502L: Ledger Depreciation Rules Not Found

Error 2859: Location Change Invalid

Error 0632: Default Accounts Invalid

Error 1116: Object Account Invalid

Issues using Asset Search & Location (P1204)

Issue 1: The system does not locate any records when entering a Description and using the Query Search function (F16).

Issues using Depreciation Information (Depr & Accounting Values - P1202)

Issue 1: The system does not display information on P1202 for the current year even though it appears for the prior year.

Issue 2: After upgrading to A9.x, the Depreciation Information program (P1202) does not display the records for all ledger types. For example, the record for the AA and D1 ledgers are missing, but the D3 and D4 ledgers display.

Issue 3: After adding a new asset in A9.x, the depreciation information screen (P1202) contains no Accounting Values or Depreciation Information and issues Errors 0002 Record Invalid and 0200 No Detail Information Exists.

Issue 4: The depreciation information (P1202) is missing for an asset for all fiscal years since its acquisition date.

Issue 5: The Fiscal Year value in the Depreciation Information (P1202) still shows the last year, even though the Asset Balance Close has been run. Shouldn't it advance automatically?

Issue 6: The Depreciation Information (P1202) header has an incorrect subledger and subledger type displayed.

Issue 7: Why are unexpected ledger types attached to a newly added asset?
