WS: DW: Dream Writer Data Selection Allows Blanks When Using *VALUE in A9.3.1.3 and A9.4 (Doc ID 2941682.1)

Symptoms

DreamWriter Allows Blanks With *VALUE in Data Selection in JDE World Software versions A9.3.1.3 and A9.4 and above.

Blanks were not allowed when using *VALUE in A9.3.1.2 and below.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

1. Fast Path to Version List (VL) or Menu G81 #2 Versions List.   In the Form field type program/report name Example: P43500.  Press Enter. 
2. Add a new version and in Data Selection use *VALUE for Order Number
3. Run the new version but do not enter any values for Order Number.
4. The program will run and not error.

In A9.3.1.2 and below it does not allow Blanks.  It highlights the line and F7 shows Error 003 Blanks Invalid as shown below:

  1. Data Selection use *VALUE for Order Number. Press Enter.

 2. Do not enter any values for Order Number. Press Enter.

 3.  The line highlights.  F7 shows Error 003 Blanks Invalid.

                         

Changes

 Upgraded to A9.3.1.3 or A9.4 and above.
