Recently upgraded from A7.3 to A9.1 or higher?

The method of calculation (DEDM) from the DBA Setup (P069117), as well as Wage Attachment Methods (WACM), for Flat Amount has changed from $ (A7.3) to a new value of A (A9.1 or higher) due to the National Language Support conversion. You will need to run the National Language Conversion program J00NLS located on menu G97U23 (A73-A91 Payroll/Human Resources) for A91 or menu G97U24 (A7.3-A9.2 Payroll/Human Resources) for A92. After this conversion is completed, all DBAs and wage attachments that were previously set up with a $ sign as a method of calculation will now have the new value of A. DBAs will now calculate during the payroll process.

See for more information about National Language Support.

Also see for information about the change of DBAs from calculating based on Check Date to Pay Period End Date

Purpose

In some cases, the system does not calculate one or more DBAs that should be calculated during pre-payroll.  Or, it may be calculating the result incorrectly.  This document covers possible reasons for this.
