Symptoms

The "-fast" compiler option is used. Some compiler options to the left of "-fast" on the compilation line are ignored, whereas other options go through. Options that are ignored include "-xOn", "-xarch", "-xtarget", "-xchip", "-fsimple", "-xprefetch", and  "-xmemalign". What is going on?
