How to Pass mapDateToTimestamp Flag as a Connection Property in JDBC 11g? (Doc ID 1052332.1)

Goal

By default, with the 11g Oracle JDBC driver, the oracle.sql.DATE is mapped to java.sql.TimeStamp class.
To map oracle.sql.DATE to a java.sql.Date, the mapDateToTimestamp flag should be set to false

How to pass the flag  mapDateToTimestamp as a connection property in the application code ?
