Error Scanning Batches "Error 20013" "[Device Is Not Reserved]" When Scanning with Enhanced Bar Codes in Capture

Attempting to scan batches in Scan for Adrenaline with Kofax VRS 4.2 - 4.5, will sometimes result in an error. The Capture application must be closed and reopened to resume scanning without error. The error displayed is:
[Device Is Not Reserved]
Correct the problem and click OK to continue, or click Cancel to abort the operation.
