Last updated on DECEMBER 05, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Business Process Management Suite - Version 10.3.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Scenario:

  • A process which has a grab activity placed in a Parametric Role (Y)
  • In Workspace, the grab functionality is visible for ALL participants in the role, regardless of having rights to execute the task for that instance, based on their parametric role (parameter values assigned).
  • If a participant X, with no right to execute the task (due to not having the proper parameter assigned for the role), tries to execute the grab for that instance he gets the following exception:

"An exception occurred while executing a transaction. Details:
Participant 'X' is not assigned to role 'Y'.
fuego.papi.exception.ParticipantNotInRoleException: Participant 'X' is not assigned to role 'Y'."
