Goal
This document provides a list of questions / answers which may arise if you are making plans to upgrade a part or all of an existing OracleAS 10g architecture. The term 'upgrade' in the context of the document is defined as upgrading from one version to another e.g scenarios such as
AS 10.1.2 Identity Management to 10.1.4.x
AS 10.1.2 J2EE and WebCache to AS 10.1.3 J2EE and Web Server
It also will cover 'upgrade' scenarios which involve upgrading a part of the AS 10g technology stack such as

While applying patches is part of the 'Upgrade' project, this document is not about 'patching'.
