Symptoms
When running OID tool remtool -asrcleanup to clean up/remove the ASR replication configuration between two nodes, the tool is hanging. The remtool.log shows that the last operation executed is deferred transactions cleanup:
The customer has monitored the entries in the following objects:
deftran count, dba_repcatlog, deferror.
The count never changes - it appears that cleanup is hanging.
Goal
-------
Complete cleanup operation to remove ASR replication configuration.
The operation is stuck at step 1. because remtool -asrcleanup is hanging.
