Invalid Name Error when Attempting to Create a Folder from WebCenter Spaces (Doc ID 1076641.1)

Symptoms

Attempting to create a folder using the doclib task flow from spaces is raising this error:

Error: Input Error

The specified name is not valid, names can not contain the following characters \ / : [ ] * ' " |

The WLS_Spaces log is showing this error:
