Purpose

Introduction

It is assumed in this document that you have understood the WebLogic Server support pattern "Troubleshooting LDAP Issues Support Pattern" <Note 1077534.1>.

This pattern is for customers who would be willing to use their LDAP servers with the dynamic group mechanism as well as statically.

It also describes in detail how to read and interpret the LDAP debug output. We hope that at the end of this document, you will be able to configure properly your own authentication provider the best optimized way for your organization.

All the tests below have been done using Sun LDAP Directory 5.1. The information applies to any LDAP servers. LDAP Dynamic group would work on any LDAP supported servers with WebLogic.
