MessageQ Patches can now be Downloaded without Opening a Service Request

Information in this document applies to any platform.
Effective immediately, all new MessageQ Rolling Patches will be distributed through ARU as "By Metalink". There is no password required for customers to download the patch. This is consistent with other Oracle products.
Also note that moving forward only the latest Rolling Patch will be available on My Oracle Support. If you have a need for an already existing Rolling Patch, you will need to open a service request with Support to obtain the older Rolling Patch.
To download the latest MessageQ Rolling Patch (see screen shot below):
- Log into My Oracle Support
- Click on "Patches & Updates" tab
- Click on Product of Family (Advanced Search)
- For the "Product is" choose Oracle MessageQ
- For the "Release is" choose your Oracle MessageQ release
- Choose the Platform
- Hit Search
This will bring you to a list of patches available for MessageQ, v5.0 on HP OpenVMS Alpha:
The "Description" column next to the Patch ID will tell you the RP level it is at. So Patch ID 8549670 is at RP40 and Patch ID 8549668 is at RP38. Note that some of the older Patch IDs will not have the RP level in its "Description" but moving forward, all later Patch IDs will have this information.
When you click on the Patch ID, it will bring to a page from where you can:
1) view the Readme file
2) download the file.
The Readme file will contain all the patches fixed up to the most current Rolling Patch.
Also, the following are Document IDs for all the MessageQ releases that contain a list of fixes up to the most current Rolling Patch.
