How can I version a process in BPM 11g (Doc ID 1085972.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 13, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Business Process Management Suite - Version 11.1.1.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

In the BPM 10g there is the option to either publish a new (major / minor) version of a process, in which case all subsequent process instances created use this new version or let the process be a new revision. In this case, if the BPM Process is compatible, all the existing instances are updated to this new revision of the process.

In the version 11g, the publishing of a BPM Process as part of SOA Composite only seems to have the option of redeploying a composite as a new revision number (in which case only new instances use this new revision) or to deploy as the same revision, in which case all of the existing process instances seem to be set to stale.
