Plain Text File Containing a Single Word of 4 Characters or Less Is Not Indexed (Doc ID 1088903.1)

Last updated on MAY 09, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Content - Version 10.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When checking in a plain text file containing a single word of 4 characters or less, the document content is not indexed when using the DATABASE.FULLTEXT indexing engine.

The webviewable or native copy of the file is intact and has the single word for content, but searching for the word does not return the document even when the revision status is "Released".

This happens only for plain-text (txt) files. Word documents containing a 4 character word are indexed properly. Files containing two words or one word with 5 characters or more are indexed as well.
