People/User Search Functionality Doesn't Work the Same in Different Places in WebCenter Spaces (Doc ID 1089916.1)

Symptoms

People/User search functionality doesn’t work the same in different places in WebCenter Spaces.
WebCenter is not configured with Secure Enterprise Search (SES).
So this is default webcenter search issue.

Use of wildcards (*) or spaces (blank) is not consistent from searches done from:

• Connections: Find Connection
• Connections: Find User (from Find and Invite People)
• Members Tab on a group Space : Find User
• Search Box in the Global Tool Bar from Spaces.

Use of wildcards (*):

• You CANNOT use a wildcard (*) from:
  Connections: Find Connection.
  
  
• You CAN use wildcard (*) any place in the string and repeated times from:
  Connections: Find User (from Find and Invite People)
  
  
• You CAN use wildcard (*) only at the beginning of the string from:
  Members Tab on a group Space : Find User
  
  
• You CANNOT use a wildcard (*) from:
  Search Box in the Global Tool Bar from Spaces

Use of spaces (blank):

• You CAN search using the display name with a blank space like "First Last" from:
  Connections: Find Connection
  
  
• You CANNOT search using the display name with a blank space like "First Last" from:
  Connections: Find User (from Find and Invite People)
  
  
• You CAN search using the display name with blank space like "First Last" from:
  Members Tab on a group Space : Find User
  
  
• You CANNOT search using the display name with a blank space like "First Last" from:
  Search Box in the Global Tool Bar from Spaces
