"SSL_Send failure" Exception When Uploading Over SSL to WCI Portal (Doc ID 1096958.1)

You may find that files of a certain size (roughly between 15K and 30K but always less than 32K on an OOTB installation) always fail to upload to the Knowledge Directory using a simple submit.  Alternatively, you may also encounter the problem when posting from a remote web service through the portal gateway.  PTSpy messages similar to the following will be observed:

33774 XXXXXXXX 4-16-2010 9:59:19.045 Error OpenKernel.OpenHttp.Network .NET #10 Can't encrypt message. Status = -2146893018.

33785 XXXXXXXX 4-16-2010 9:59:19.045 Warning OpenKernel.OpenHttp.Core .NET #10 com.plumtree.openkernel.impl.openhttp.core.PTRequest OnError() - Cancelling request to [https://<HOSTNAME>/portal/<USER_ID>&control=DirRepost&page=DirCardSubmitSimple] because of exception.
