Sudden Poor Performance with ODI Scenario Execution on IBM Server (Doc ID 1098396.1)

Symptoms

Sudden performance issues have been encountered in the last few days running Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) version 10.1.3.4.2 Scenarios on ODI Agents hosted on a linux server using specific disk cache hardware.

This very recent issue is manifested by Scenario execution times taking 5 times longer to run to completion and such performance issues were not encountered a short time earlier. This is all the more surprising as no modifications whatsoever having been implemented to either ODI or the operating system or databases involved in the processes.
