Goal
1) Can the Universal Content Management database schema be created manually?
The installation guide for Universal Content Management, (UCM), states that RCU, (Repository Creation Utility), has to be used to create the schema for UCM.
Note: RCU is available only on 32-bit x86 Linux and 32-bit Microsoft Windows operating system platforms. You can run RCU from these machines to connect to any certified versions of Oracle, IBM DB2, or Microsoft SQL Server database in order to create the schemas required by Fusion Middleware components. The database server can be running on any platform that is supported by its respective database.
- Can the schema be created manually by running the UCM database scripts as was possible in Content Server 10.x.
- In 11g UCM, are the database connection string variables still configured and stored in the config.cfg file?
