Odisrv Log File Message Times Differ From Timestamp on Log File By an Hour (Doc ID 1165291.1)

Last updated on MARCH 08, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Internet Directory - Version: 10.1.4.3 and later   [Release: 10gR3 and later ]
IBM AIX on POWER Systems (64-bit)

Symptoms

  • In $ORACLE_HOME/ldap/odi/log, an "ls" command shows timestamps on the trc/aud files of, for example:

    -rw-r--r-- 1 atsoid dba 9796889 Jul 15 14:47 sshr.trc
    -rw-r--r-- 1 atsoid dba 3402610 Jul 15 14:47 sshr.aud

But in the files, the message timestamps show:

    .trc file --
Trace Log Started at Thu Jul 15 13:48:59 GMT-05:00 2010

    .aud file --
    Thu Jul 15 13:48:58 GMT-05:00 2010 - Audit Log End

They are off by an hour.

  • In $ORACLE_HOME/ldap/log, an "ls" command shows a timestamp on the odisrv log of:

    -rw-r--r-- 1 atsoid dba 1481668492 Jul 15 14:47 odisrv01.log

But in the files, the message timestamps show:

    Thu Jul 15 13:48:59 GMT-05:00 2010 : Profile : sshr, Created at Queue index 0 Time: 1279219798000
    Thu Jul 15 13:48:59 GMT-05:00 2010 : Processed Profile : sshr
    Thu Jul 15 13:48:59 GMT-05:00 2010 : Scheduler: Sleeping for 58122 ms

They are also off by an hour.

  • The $ORACLE_HOME/ldap/oidldapds<PID>.log files have correct file and message timestamps
