Is it Mandatory to Have HTTP Server for UCM Installation With Webcenter?

Goal
During installing webcenter suite 11.1.1.2 UCM was chosen for install.
In the documentation it is specified that, if you want webcenter to work with UCM you need to install an Apache http server from the Oracle webtier package.
Is it compulsory given that I installed Oracle Weblogic Server, which is already a webserver ?
