OID DIP 11g: Source Attribute 'SamAccountName' Doesn't Belong To Object Class 'User' When Validating Mapping of an Active Directory (AD) Sync Profile (Doc ID 1186999.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 07, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle Internet Directory - Version 11.1.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When setting up a new Active Directory (AD) Sync Profile the VALIDATE MAPPING test results in error:

source attribute 'samaccountname' doesn't belong to object class 'user'

This is usually due to <Bug 9394394>.  However, after applying the patch 9394394, the problem still persists when attempting to sync from the Global Catalog Server.

With mapping violation errors you cannot enable the profile.
